An American Classic: the Gem Dandy PolyTable Signature
The PolyTable Signature, the latest product from venerable turntable designer George Merrill, is built with a minimalist aesthetic that places performance as the number one priority. Every critical element of the turntable that affects performance has been meticulously engineered, from its shape, mechanical structure, materials, bearing, motor and motor drive unit. The PolyTable has a rich history and has received numerous awards including TAS Product of the year, Stereophile Recommended Component, Editor’s Choice awards, and many other accolades from respected audio publications.
Made to order, with Single or Double TOnearm mounts
Each PolyTable is custom made by George Merrill. Standard configuration includes a single built-in arm mount to accommodate the recommended Sorane TA-1L 12” tonearm, or other arm of your choice. Additionally the PolyTable “Duo” comes with a secondary 9” blank arm mount. Each turntable can be custom drilled based on the customer’s needs. Tonearm adaptor plates are available allowing the user to change tonearms later.
Designed for Maximum Mechanical efficiency:
The PolyTable plinth is constructed of POM and designed to minimize the transfer of mechanical energy, isolating the record and minimizing unwanted vibrations. No metal or glass parts, which can transfer resonance, are used in the critical energy path.
two-piece platter system with Damped Drive Platter:
The specially designed POM platter minimizes the transfer of mechanical vibrations to the record, preventing coloration and ensuring that no sonic details are lost during playback.
custom manufactured Precision motor:
Silent-running and highly efficient, the PolyTable’s fluid-damped low-vibration AC synchronous motor is custom designed in the USA to provide maximum speed stability and minimal noise.
RCC Mat bonded to the platter:
Offering an additional level of vibration control, the special RCC (Rubber Cork Compound) bonded platter surface ensures maximum resonance control at one of the most critical points.
Oil Well Bearing:
Oil lubricated platter bearing ensures smooth, stable, quiet motion of the platter.
Adjustable leveling feet with built-in bubble level
Using a combination of aluminum plates and sorbothane dampers, the PolyTable’s feet maximize mechanical isolation while remaining height adjustable for precise leveling via built-in bubble level.
Digital Motor Drive (DMD)
A microprocessor-powered outboard digital speed control unit, employing crystal-controlled adjustable dual oscillators, provides low-distortion, ultra-stable power to the motor windings for maximum speed stability.
User Adjustable speed control and strobe
Outboard speed controller provides user-friendly selection of 33/45 rpm speed, with fine-tuning via built-in fiber optic strobe light and provided strobe disc.
Made in the USA with craftsmanship and pride
All parts are USA sourced and each turntable hand assembled and tested by George Merrill himself at his bespoke production facility in Memphis Tennessee.
